Navigate a raft around the white waters of  Kelani River at Kitulgala on a raft, close to location where award winning film Bridge on the River Kwai was built. It is just a 1.5 hours’ drive from the Governor’s Mansion. On family trips, guests can go on picnic for Kitulgala rafting, with food and treats prepared by the chef at the Governor’s Mansion.

The normal rafting route would take a couple of hours to ride.  From beginners to experienced rafters, the local, trained guides can give you a memorable trip. If you are an experienced rafter, with grades 1-3 levels of rapids available, you can conquer the rapids of Kitulgala.
